Objective: The objective of the study was to determine the effect of preoperative stoma site marking on the health- related quality of life (HRQOL).
Methods: A nonrandomized, quasi-experimental design was used for the study performed from June 2013 to August 2014. The study sample (n:60) included patients for whom a stoma was opened after a planned colorectal surgery. The City of Hope Quality of Life-Ostomy Questionnaire (COHQOL-OQ) was used to measure HRQOL.
